I have just installed Windows 7 64 bit onto my daughter's laptop Toshiba Satellite A200-1C5, Model no. PSAECE-01200SIT, Serial no. 47315065K, Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 fsb 667 MHz, 2 GB RAM (at first it was 1 GB RAM), 160 GB HD 5400 RPM, Video Card Nvidia GeForce Go 7300, DDR2 RAM (667 MHz) up to 4.096 MB, Motherboard Toshiba mod. ISKAE, serial no. 0123456789AB, North Bridge: Intel i945PM Rev. 03, South Bridge Intel 82801 GHM (ICH7-M/U), CPU Socket: Socket 479 mPGA, CPU max. speed: 2048 MHz, BIOS: Phoenix BIOS, Vendor Toshiba, serial no. 47315065K, version V 1.30, Firmware version 1.48, date: 03/26/2007, DMI version 2.4, Start segment E59Ch, BIOS dimension 512 KB
In the meantime I increased the RAM to its maximum amount: 4 GB, but I noticed that Windows recognizes it like that: Installed 4096 MB, Usable 3071 MB and the BIOS says: System Memory 640 KB Extended Memory 3070 MB.
I wonder why 1 GB RAM remains unusable, and I'll be grateful to you if you give me some advice in order to enable the Sistem to use all the RAM available. Best Regards
