I've got a BenQ Joybook 5000U circa 2004-ish, which I'm trying to recover from a bad flash. I've made some progress (see my thread on the technical page) but at the point where I think I just need proprietary files from the manufacturer, and I'm assuming they won't give them out for free (nor are they likely to be freely available on the internet)

My question is this - has anyone ever had any success raising a bad flash from the dead, on a laptop with an Insyde MobilePro bios? If so, I'm wondering if there is any pattern to the procedure, or whether different manufactures with Insyde bios have radically different procedures (e.g. the procedure is NOT a standard bios feature but an optional one written by the manufacturers themselves)

Edit - Added link to the OP's other thread. KW
