I'm trying to repair HP Pavilion ZT1000-IB (HP P/N F4554AV) notebook
after unsuccessful BIOS upgrade.
the latest official BIOS available is Insyde Software MobilePRO BIOS V3.03 Rev IB.M1.10
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/ccd/soar2sdd/ob936 ... ibm110.exe
I'm looking for MobilePRO boot block activation procedure.
Insyde Software MobilePRO BIOS recovery procedure?
The only info (not confirmed) I've got at the moment is that -
the boot block activation procedure involves some sort of dongle (simple loopback?) on the parallel port .
Please if anyone heard of any similar procedures - let me know.

a friend of mine has a Medion 42100 which seems to have had its bios nuked by a virus or something. at least thats one possibilty. on boot nothing is displayed, no beeps etc.
anyway it uses Insyde's MobilePro bios latest rev from the manufacturer is listed as
M1.05
Anyway I would be interested if anyone has ANY info on how you can initiate any block boot procedures so we can see if this can be recovered without replacing the motherboard.
Again any info on the insyde bios anyone has would be appreciated.
