motherboard
When replacing a motherboard do I have to reinstall Windows? I will be replacing a motherboard with the exact same motherboard since it's in an HP machine. Will I have to redo anything when I make the swap or since they are the same will it be okay? Thanks.

The same motherboard should be OK, Windows may need to install some drivers again but it should work. The only problem may be if your current board has SATA drives in native mode but the new boards has them as AHCI (or vice versa) but this could be changed in Bios.
Problems with swapping a motherboard mostly appear if the IDE/SATA controller is from a different manufacturer or from the same manufacturer but a newer/different version.
