Hello,
I am looking for a patched BIOS (for widescreen support) for my Asus notebook (A4L) with SiS M661FX graphics card.
The latest available BIOS is this one: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7XnXs ... sp=sharing
or the official link to the asus support page for this laptop: http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?S ... eNzO8wP18L
Thanks in advance, and sorry for my bad English.

You do know that IF we patch it you can only use the external monitor? These laptop video bioses have been hacked in such a way that upgrading them with a factory bios upgrade can only operate the external screen, not the screen of the laptop.

Yes, I know that. And I played with some BIOS patching tools and I actually got it to replace the VBIOS ROM with this one: https://www.bios-mods.com/resources/ind ... m741%29%2F (version 0.70).
It worked.. but i still have no support for widescreen. I have the newest AGP driver (version 1.21) and the newest graphics driver on Windows XP. I tried it on two displays, 1600x900 and 1920x1080 but none works. Only 4:3 resolutions do work.
Is there another VBIOS ROM I could try?
