My HP Pavilion Notebook zt3000 (model: zt3030AP) suddenly went off during windows version of BIOS updating (downloaded from HP website).
Tried the BIOS Critical Recovery, Fn+b or Win+b and all didn't help.
Does anyone know if this model comes with what kind of BIOS chip and whether this BIOS chip is soldered directly to the motherboard or placed in an IC socket that was soldered to the board? And the brand and part number or specifications of the BIOS chip?
I don't want to open the case to see at this moment as it's not easy to do so.
If it's placed in an IC socket, I will try to get a similar BIOS chip and thinking of updating the BIOS chip in a HP desktop computer and then put back to my Notebook.
Also, does anyone know where to download the DOS version for flashing the BIOS? I'm not sure if the bios image from the above link is the correct one.
