If you are running Vista you're out of luck. This laptop is using an ATi/AMD SB600 chip which has severe performance problems under Vista, no matter what drivers you use.

you think that this bios can be modded to enable ahci from bios somehow?

hmmm it's possible MSI choose to completely remove the option from the bios because this this was delivered with Vista, which made AHCI on this SB600 basically unusable in the first place. That would mean implementing a full SB600 module in the core which needs a full rewrite of the bios. There is a remote chance esupport has a commercial paid-for version but I'm pretty sure there's no free patch out there...
