Don't ask how to hack password. (BIOS Passwords)

I've got a Sony PCG-FX33S. It's a japanese model, so no luck finding updates and documentation on the english-Sonysites.

It has a Celeron 900 on a Intel 815EM Chipset. Two RAM Slots, on is fitted with a 128 MB SO-DIMM.

I've got two spare RAM modules (both PC133, one 128MB module, on 256module and the orginal 128MB module) here, both are not working. Except the module that came with the notebook, no module is working, in no combination whatsover and even not when I put in the module alone.

I have no clue why this is. I've checked both modules in another notebook and they are working fine.

There is a BIOS update on the Sony website... however... it doesn't have a changelog - so I wouldn't know if a bios update would solve the problem - and since bios updates on the FX-Series are some kind of gambling...

Any idea what else might causing this problem?

I understood that you have aone slot empty, so best bet is that another 128MB as the original you have might work.

Are there any type id numbers in the working 128MB SODIMM?
