Hello to all... My friend recently changed the hdd on his Sony Vaio Model PCG-FX220 and now it does not recognize any disk at all, not even the original one that was in it. The laptop was running Win ME and he wanted a bigger hard drive and also to upgrade to Win XP. The only thing I could come up with is that he somehow must have messed up the ribbon cable since all the hard drives we have tried work on my Dell C610. Any ideas as what to try next before wasting time trying to chase down said ribbon cable would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance....
Today after running this diagnostics disk I found online I got these outputs.... The first one said - "Disposition code = 0x00" and the second one said "Disposition code = 0x44".
Now all that's left to find out is what in the hell that means....
