Hello, great forum btw.

I recently broke my xga lcd screen on my toshiba laptop (lg.philips screen) and it is beyond repair. I have a SXGA+ screen at hand (Hannstar brand) that has the same ccfl connection and same type of LVDS connection. I tried plugging in the lcd and booting to windows and it worked, but partially. Right now, half the pixels on the screen work and half dont. It is such that the first row of pixels on the lcd are fully functional, but the next rom is not lit at all, then the third row is fully functional and the fourth is not so on and so forth. I can somewhat read stuff, but was wondering if the video bios can be updated to fix this ( Intel 852GM graphic chip) ?

Thx.
