Hello,

I have a Toshiba satellite 2805-s603. When it is powered on, it displays the following message: "Bios is damaged! (call your serviceman)
Serviceman: Place maintenance disk in drive and press any key when ready" [without the double quote].

I have downloaded Toshiba Bios setup program and inserted the resulting floppy into the laptop, however, the same message is displayed.

Any help or suggestion is appreciated.

Thank you!

There's a difference between configuring the BIOS and re-installing it. I think the message indicates that the BIOS needs to be re-flashed, while the BIOS setup disk is only to configure the BIOS.
Tested patched BIOSes. Untested patched BIOSes.

Thanks for the answer ... However, I cannot access the BIOS and this laptop has just arrived ... I do not have any info nor history... How can I tell which BIOS is appropriate for this laptop? AMI? Phoenix? etc...
Where do I find the Bios flash program and procedure to use it?

Thank you for your help!
