Hi All...
I have a Sony Vaio PCG-GR114MK. It shipped originally with WIN 2k. I am updating to XP. Sony offer for download various XP drivers, utilties and a BIOS update, that I need to get the power management to work right.

The BIOS update file comes with instructions for creating a boot floppy.
This Vaio has no floppy.

The BIOS boot menu has "removable devices", "hard drives" and "CD ROMs".

I acquired a USB floppy and it works great, but the computer won't boot from it. I have tried, without success, to create a boot CD, which would be fine if I could do it.

Sony won't respond to emails and faxes.

Any ideas?

And thanks!

You can burn a bootable CDROM using Nero utility easily
