I did a BIOS upgrade on my comp and now from time to time the fan in my computer starts making heavy deep noises like a vacuum cleaner and it expels a lot of air. Btw, the fan makes noises for a couple of minute then they go away and after a few minutes the noises start again, this cycle repeats itself all day.
What could be the problem?? Will this kill my motherboard or any other part of the computer?? What can I do to fix it??

Thanks

Hmm, bios update may have changed somehow default CPU power setup options or temperature sensor calibration setup.

You can control CPU power setup (Vcore, clock frequency) using Rightmark CPU clock utility to make it more quiet by lowering Vcore and clocking down (lowering CPU multiplier).
