I have never done this before. Is there any harm involved. If there is what precautions should I take and can I revert back to old bios if the new one does not work?

No I am not sure the CPU is good, however I would love to upgrade the bios so that I can rule out the bios being the issue. Thanks very much with your assistance. You are the first person that was able to easily identify what my board is. I jsut need to get the most updated bios for the board. Thanks.
