Would you reccommend doing that since I have absolutely no experience in such matters? Is there another BIOS I can use, or something ...

I don't know how you're managing to view those switches, because they just aren't there when you access the BIOS from my computer (from boot, not using a BIOS modding prog) I have that exact BIOS that is highlighted and I can be 100% sure when I tell you that those features are simply not accessible...

Looks like the board is the same as the RA60/61 &RA70/71 I have the current BIOS update (version 1003) provided by sony-europe at www.vaio-link.com. Believe me - there are no options in the BIOS to tweak...
