i have a PAG2130 mobo, and it says i have an award BIOS when i start it up, the date is 99. Now where do i go to get the newest bios for it? i mean are all Award BIOs the same? or is it specific to the mobo? thanks for helping a newbie.

Looks like an FIC board. Is it in a brand name system? (Compaq, HP)

You're going to have to determine the PCB revision to get the proper update. Open the case, and look on the board. Somewhere should be written 1.2, 1.3. 1.3A or 2.0
Flash your BIOS at your own risk.

You can only use FIc Bios if it's a retail Board - if it's in a Compaq/HP or similar system you may be forced to use their custom built Bios .

If it's a retail board then you need to know your motherboard revision number or the Bios identifier code used by FIC

http://www.fic.com.tw/support/motherboa ... del_id=104

SA4xx and SB4xx is the Bios-identifier showing on the known Revisions

To be sure please post your full Bios-ID - use CTBIOS or Bios-Agent
