Hi all,

I'm wondering if there is a BIOS update for an ancient "VXPro+" motherboard I'm using. Its BIOS ID is

07/04/97-VXPro+-USB-Ultr-2A5LDH09C-00

which is very close to the PC Chips (Hsin Tech) M537DMA33 listed on this site (only the date is different).

How do I know if there's an update? Clicking on the link for the PC Chips manufacturer just takes me to a list of BIOS IDs, but doesn't tell me whether there is an update for any of them.

I'm looking for an update to see if they introduced booting from USB in a later BIOS, as the board has two integrated USB ports.

Grateful for any tips here.

On a totally separate topic, where is a good place to ask non-BIOS-related questions about old hardware? I have a CPU fan that won't spin for more than a few seconds (though the CPU works fine), and a WoL issue, to name but two.

Thanks in advance,

CC

The last Bios is of April 1998. I don't think any 4.51PG based Bios has an USB boot option.
