Hey all
I downloaded Award Flash Utility v8.23 (v8.24 is for systems built after 2003, or so they say),
booted to DOS and ran it.
It asked me to name a file, I entered name of it and it said:
"BIOS image file is for nForce Chipset only."
Nothing happened, my BIOS is still v6.0
I am lost, please advice.
tnx

Yes, A7V-E BIOS latest version is what I need...
any suggestions?
(I am running a search on the net as we speak)
tnx
added:
I found 1003 version (http://usa.asus.com/download/mbdriver/socketa.htm )
but the file is not *.bin but *.amd.
What do ya all say? Can I use this file with Award Flash Utility v8.23?
tnx

All went fine
The reason I wanted to update BIOS was my new 200GB HDD. I can only use 130GB of it, even now after BIOS update.
Any suggestions, please?
thank you for your time

W2K/SP4 should be able to adress space above 128GB even if the Bios only shows 128 out of a 200Gb HDD.
