I've got Kobian/Mercury KNU400X-L which is the same as EPOX EP-8RDA3 (this number is even under a KNU400X-L sticker). Kobian hasn't realesed any new BIOS since last year, but on EPOX site I fonud new software. Could I use EPOX EP-8RDA3 for my motherboard?

If you're 100% sure, then go ahead.

No i'm not sure, that's why I made that topic :). Have anyone upgraded the new Mercury mainboard (with nice Mercury screen) with BIOS from Epox or ECS?
BTW Epox software such as MagicBIOS or diagnostic software.

AFAIK, Kobian is only a reseller.

Yes, but Kobian modified the original BIOS (ie. Mercury splash screen on startup). I'm going to backup my original BIOS, and then upgrade it with an EPOX one. THX for help ajzchips and wish me luck :) .

The splash screen is very easy to change.... and doesn't affect the BIOS kernel.
