i don't know if you guys do the bios thing cd-rw's but i know you can.
My question is i need to reflash my cd-rw drive only because the damned thing dont write anymore but it reads just fine.

CD-RW Model BTC 833IE / IDE8432

i know its possible because i've done it to my dvd rw drive before it fried.

ive checked the manufacture website and they dont have this drive on their site.

i'd check the archive but i dont really know what year it was manufactured in, and i don't feel like searching through all that.

any help or direction will be much appreciated cause i dont have the money to fork over for a new one.

oh and how come the firmware from that website doesnt even recognize the drive as an updateable one. is there any way to "erase" the cd-rw's firmware and re-install it?

Try using the flash tools of the other OEM models that appear in the list. I believe Traxdata's 2.5 version might just do the trick.
