Hello everybody,

I would update my Bios (Ami) because a Harddisk couldn´t be found.
The only thing i could "encrypt" from the Nr: 51 1130 001223 00111111 071595 82430vx is, that the Bios/Mainboard or what ever is made by Biostar (www.biostar.com.tw) -i hope.
So my question is, what Bios-file i have to flash with (with the Biostar.com.tw amiflasher).
There are so much files :(

The BIOS WIZARD has given me that infos:
BIOS DATE: 07/15/95
BIOS TYPE: American Megatrends
BIOS ID: 51-1130-001223-00111111-071595-82430VX
Chipset: Intel Triton 430VX rev 2
Superio: UMC/ITE 8669 rev 0 found at port 108h

Thank you a lot.

Check on the board itself for the model.
Flash your BIOS at your own risk.

That number i found on google to (icluding the ...-F) but not seems to be the same, or show it the same function?

On the Mainboard there is no number.
But ive found a number on startupscreen: TVX1206B
and on the biostar site this: http://www.biostar.com.tw/products/main ... /bios.php3
(8500 -> TVX <- ) two files:
tvx0619b.rom and
tvx1012b.rom
But the date of theese are 1997 - is the update older than my version ???

tvx0619b.rom would be the one for you (UMC I/O) and it's difficult to know whether it is later, just that it is the oatest and mentions fixing problems with HDD capacity in FAT32 operating systems. The file should be 128K but I can only download 127K - amibcp says's it's too small. It isn't a zip file as the icon suggests.
http://www.zdnet.de/treiber/man_prod/bi ... os-wc.htmlhas the same (corrupt?) file.

This file is correct - self extracting archive which performs a CRC check

There's one byte missing with the other downloads - Biostar should have used Winzip or similar programs to avoid such critical download errors
