my cpu is amd x2 5000+ am2, I found that the temperature showed by my mobo is very high, unlike other newer am2 mobo, unfortunately epox has gone out of bussiness, so I can't find any updated bios anymore, can someone help me ?

Thanks

Epox -> Supox

What revision is your 5000+ ?
The newer Revision G1/G2 processors have a somewhat faulty internal temperature sensor, thermal protection works but the external read-out by programs (and Bios?) does not result in correct values.

I don't know if AMD has ever confirmed this but it's well known as the reported temps are sometimes really strange.
