I downloaded a (self-extracting under MS-DOS BIOS) update from the manufactures site. My question is do I just stick in the floppy and turn on the computer to extract the files, or do I start up in DOS and at the A:prompt type somthing in to extract the file? What do I type in to make it work. I am lost when it comes to anthing related to MS-DOS.
Thank you
Flash the BIOS
Double click on the file. It'll either create a bootdisk for you, or decompress some files into a directory of your choice.
If the latter case, then create a boot disk and copy the files onto it.
