I have a ecs k7s5a version 3.1 board . Am trying to flash the bios using ami818 utility and 020206l.rom file. Problem is I keep getting a message that the "chipset/flash was not found, this command is invalid at this time". I do not see anything in the manual about a write protect jumper for the bios. Is there something I am missing ,is there a jumper? Thanks

Have you correctly entered the information to start the upgrade at the DOS prompt?

A:>ami818 020206l.rom

That said, I used the latest flash program at the ECS site in place of ami818 and it worked for me. That manual for the K7S5A is a piece of you know what. They don't even have the Pin 1 locations right.
