Hi guys ... i want to update me computer bios but i cannot find an update anywhere .. not even on manufacturers site
I hope that i will be able to get a bios update here...
Well yeah i have this Mobo.. quite old .. it comes from a packard bell unit AND i am running windows 7 on it.
Manufacturer: ECS
Mobo: RC415ST-PM
Bios chipset onboard: 686 AMIBIOS 1999 UK95 8518
when i start the pc, this bios info shows at the bottom of the screen: 63-0100-000001-00101111-121106-RS400-RC415ST-PM-Y2KC
now i had a look in wim's bios archives but could not find anything matching with my bios. i also have 2 attached files that might help someone to figure out this bios of mine.
Hope to have given as much info as needed ...
Thanks for reading my post

That is a board made by ECS for Packard Bell which PB refers to as RIO 3, the bios you have now is the last ever released for it:
ftp://ftp.packardbell.com/pub/itemnr/6997800000/
There are no upgrades.

Judging by the time Since you were a member .. You must know a lot about bioses.
well in first place i did not even had a copy of this current version, thanks for that
just 1 last thing ... do you know anything about modifying a bios rom file, to enable/unhide the overclocking option in bios ?
As i wont get an update of my bios ... this seems to b the only option ahead.
Thanks a lot
