I have an amd K6II 500 processor and have been told
I can fit a larger size
I,ve looked through wim's site but just seem to be going
round in circles so could do with any help out there.

It's not PC Chips board, but PC Partner. There is no faster Socket 7 CPU than K6-2/500 (maybe the K6-3/450).

K6-2/533 and 550 are a little faster but it's not worth the upgrade .
If you really want/need a speed upgrade try to fin a K6-2+ or K6-3+ with 450 to 550MHz - they have OnDie L2-Cache and are really fast !

Oh, I thought that the fastest K6-2 was the 500

Provided that the BIOS can initialize them properly.
