Post by Rage3D » Fri Jan 03, 2014 5:14 pm

Olidata.
That's what manufacturer I found the MB is from when I tried installing Windows 7 x64.Under Windows 7 x86 it doesn't identify as any OEM.

I have found this which is claimed to be the last bios ever for said OEM version of the board:
http://selo.ro/bios/ASUSM2VTVMGB.ROM

It is dated dec 14 2007.

The OEM Olidata is one of the worse ones out there, support is basically non-existant. The limitations are largely because of the chipset used, not because of the bios. After all this is a low-low-low-budget-budget-budget board, so don't expect any investments in new bioses...

That one is older than my BIOS.I checked with AMIBCP for Windows and it seems mine is newer than the one you posted (0020,mine is 0701)but older than ASUS BIOS.I am struggling to flash the BIOS using a Chaintech board, might see if I have success,as the Chaintech board uses a PM800 chipset and the M2V-TVM uses a K8M890 chipset.By the way, there is absolutely NO difference between the OEM BIOS or the retail one,so it's worth a shot.I've got the original chip handy,so I can revert to the OEM bios if the hotflash I do won't work,as I use a supported BIOS chip, not the one with the OEM BIOS on it. (I think, the M2V-TVM bios is SST 49LF040B and the replacement chip with the new BIOS is 49LF004)

that is just a serial number, not a date code, as I said, mine is released DECEMBER 2007 which is 10 months newer than what you have now. Asus never released a bios for this board directly because it's an OEM-only board, no retail bios will flash on this thing.

You can always try force-flashing the retail bios including bootblock with uniflash.

Well, now I need to reflash the MPM800 BIOS,as I accidentally wrote the M2V-TVM bios on the MPM800's bios chip, instead of using a SST 49LF004A (which is what the M2V-TVM-GB uses)

Nope.....and the D845GLAD isn't good either. The bios chip is soldered on it (but can be removed with pliers or tweezers)and I can't get Uniflash to write the MPM800 bios on it.The BIOS chip on the MPM800 is a SST 39LF040 BTW.Seems I need a VIA board though,as I don't think it works flashing a VIA BIOS on a Intel chipset motherboard .(not necessarily made by Intel,it could be even ASUS P4B533 for example)
