Hi everybody,

For the story I have an old (but performant) computer who hadn't USB 2.0, I have buy a PCI card and installed without problem.

It's incontestably more speed than USB 1.0 but it seems to be only USB 2.0 Full Speed (max 12 Mbit/s = USB 1.1) and not USB 2.0 High Speed (max 480 Mbits/s = USB 2.0).

I have an Intel Garibaldi D850GB motherboard and this page of the support documentation concern me Enabling USB 2.0 Support but in my bios I have not "USB Configuration" parameter.

I think it's because I have a Gateway with a specefic bios GB85010A.15A and not GB85010A.86A...

My question if the next, is it possible to "crack" the Gateway bios and put the Intel one ?

Thanks a lot.

Try a different PCI slot. But it looks more like a software/driver problem.

Hum... I think that the bandwidth is locked by the bios... and the drivers of the PCI card are good.

Not possible.

An add-in PCI card does not use the system BIOS settings for USB.

Check your driver install as Denniss recommended.

Thanks.

Actually, I don't see. :(

You should show the "View -> Devices by connection".

It is more informative.

Thanks.

How did you test this and with what operating system?

When you plug the devices in, do they show up under the Enhanced USB 2.0 Controller?

Yes !

Enhanced USB 2.0 Controller > USB 2.0 Root Hub > Mass Strorage Device

Then I would say that everything is working properly.

Thanks.
