Just out of curiosity, is it possible in any way to add support for booting from USB devices (hard drive, CDROM, and especially USB flash key) to an older BIOS that did not originally support it?

I know that large HD support has been added to BIOSes by many of the members here, and I have used quite a few of them, and I appreciate the time and effort that those persons have given.

If it is possible, would someone possibly write up a howto for doing so, or possibly be willing to add that support for two motherboards that I have?

Thanks,

John

Still wondering if tis is possible? I'm using FreeNAS for file storage, and i'd prefer to have 4 data drives, and boot fom a USB key, but my BIOS does not support it.

Thanks
