HP Presario 5000 UWave2 FIC AZ31 OEM how to get to bios XPSP

I have tried entereing the bios of this mother board using all option I could find. F1, F2, F10, Del key, Insert Key. I restart the computer using the XP SP2 restart option and immediately press and hold, or I have also tried repeated rapid taps of these keys and cannot get the system to go to the Bios Screen? It had ME on it, and the hard drive went dead, so I did a clean install of XP on the system and added some memory, but that is it. Why cannot I not access the BIOS?

using USB or PS/2 keyboard? Tried holding the key down so it will generate a keyboard error?

Not using USb keyboard, using the ps2 connection.
