I have an Intel Advanced/EV motherboard with a P133 CPU.

The current Bios version is 1.00.02.CB0. I have downloaded the last released upgrade which should upgrade to 1.00.06.

The download came as a self-extracting archive which I saved to floppy as per the intructions. To do this I used my work Win 2k machine.

When I tried booting with this floppy in place I get the message
'NTDLR not found' which I think is a Windows related message. As my home machine runs Linux there's no way I would have this file.

I have tried disconnecting my hard drive and get the same message.

I've tried booting using the recovery mode jumper setting and that does not work either. eg the floppy is not read.

Am I missing something from the floppy?
do I need some extra Windows components on the Floppy?
Has anyone seen this problem?

Did you run the executable to extract the files to disk, or just save the executable to floppy?

Did you try the non-OS dependant version?
Flash your BIOS at your own risk.
