I'm having a problem with an onboard LAN card not being recognized, even though it is enabled in BIOS. After researching, I found that the BIOS I have installed is for a Gigabyte GA-7n400 PRO2 F11, when the board is actually a Gigabyte GA-7n400 PRO. Is there any difference, and if so, would it possibly cause my ethernet to not be recognized? Also, is there a way to install the correct BIOS instead of the one I have?

thanks

Download the BIOS update package from the link Kuriaki gave you. Run it to unpack it. This contains the BIOS image, a flash program and the autoexec.bat file with the command line you need. Create a bootable diskette with no config.sys or autoexec.bat. If your OS does not support this, you can find a boot disk creator through www.bootdisk.com - "Driver free disk for BIOS flashing". Copy the contents of the BIOS update package to the diskette and boot from it. If the flash utility falls over with an error, you may need to run it manually.

Is it really the BIOS that does not recognise the LAN chip?

Maybe the BIOS AND Windows both recognise the device, but the device is a problem device in device manager because Windows does not have a driver for it, which you could supply. If this is the case, the device is present but simply cannot be used, yet.
