Hello,
I try to install a IBM IC35L080 with 80GB on my Compaq Presario 5503. The harddisk won´t regonized by the computer. Can somebody tell me where I can get a BIOS Update for my COmputer. On the mainboard there is no name of manufacture. Only a Revision Number called P6PRO-A5 Rev. 1.01.

You'll have to get it from Compaq; it's pretty straight forward how to select the right Rompaq for your machine type.

If it doesn't work, though, you'll need a PCI card.
Flash your BIOS at your own risk.
