bios upgrade needed

I own an acer aspire 7130 motherboard. I Need a bios update for it . My moms motherboard Is an IBM Aptiva E96. It is identical except hers is a 66mhz bus and mine is a 100mhz. Acer has never realeased a bios update for this system. I was wondering if i could flash an IBM Bios on my acer board.

You would do so at your own risk. The fact alone that one board is 66MHz only and the other 66 or 100 makes them different, not something you can solve by flashing a different bios. your hardware needs to support 100MHz.
