I have a QS440BX motherboard and am trying to add a 80GB HD to the existing 10GB drive. I downloaded and successfully installed Bios 2.10 from the manufacturer The computer recongizes the new HD but the new drive (F ?) doesn't appear. I tried downloading the 2.10 with patch from this site but I can't unzip it. I keep getting an unable to archive message. I've tried downloading it 7 times. What can I try next ?

Just a stab here, but, have you tried booting to a win 98 floppy and running fdisk? If you get the option to "Change current fixed disk drive" in FDISK (on the first menu), then your PC is seeing more than one physical hard drive. Also, what OS are you running? I seem to remember having some OS'es not see a new drive if it has not been partitioned.

I would be REALLY careful about deleting partitions in FDISK, btw. It can be easy to think you are deleting partiotions on one drive when you are actually deleting them on another.
