20GB Western Digital limiting my space to 8.4GB

Bios Date: 01/03/2003 S
Bios Id: 62-0103-001131-00101111-071595-SiS730S-M810LR7-H
AmiBios Version 1.21.06

Not much time in between the date there, but i havent partitioned the drive yet would it be more logical to just use drive overlay software and if so do i have to use one made for my hdd or are they all universal?

A BIOS that recent will support practically ANY hard disk drive. Make sure you don't have any 8.4GB-limiting jumper set on the HDD.

Is the drive 1)detected as 8.4GB or 2) as 20GB and having only 8.4GB space ?
1) > Remove capacity limitation jumper on HDD
2) > Repartition your drive to full 20GB

Enter the model numer o your HDD into the search option and then have a closer look onto the HDD jumpers - seems it's jumpered to 8GB
