Hi,

I have problems with my motherboard, it doesn'r recognize a 40 Gb Hard Disk and doesn't support the Usb controller.
By Sandra 2003 I get this Bios ID: 01/14/1999-692-596-W977-2A6LGL1AC-00, it's a Lucky Star(the site is dead now! ) motherboard but I wasn't able to find the right model.
Can someone help me? Pleaaaaaaase!

Can you tell us what the BIOS message is in the top left-hand corner under the Award logo ? Like #LGA3-00

I found http://old.vikomt.cz/Tech_podpora/zkladn_lucky.htm lists that BIOS for the "Ara" board they sold, along with the #LGA3-03 BIOS.
Also, at http://www.driveritalia.it/forum/topic. ... IC_ID=3668 a rather neat-looking utility in Italian identifes it as:
ID scheda madre 01/14/1999-692-596-W977-2A6LGL1AC-00
Nome scheda madre Lucky Star Ara 6VABX2
, although that is probably simply working off the ID.

The latest 128KB 6VABX2 BIOS is #LGA3-03 and it is patched for 128GiB HDD at http://wims.rainbow-software.org/. You could try that, although I would wonder why they changed from #LGA2-xx to #LGA3-xx if there was no change to the PCB.

NickS,

thanks!!! You've been great, really kind helping me.

One more thing, I've dowloaded the .bin file, now to upgrade my bios I need a right tool, is awardFlash8.12 ok? I found winflash1.2 too...

Thanx anyway

I think awdfl812 should work. Good luck!
