I have problem identifying this mobo and I need a manual Urgent to upgrade the CPU from PI 100 MHz to a PI 150 MHz at least

Bios string: 02/18/97-i430VX-2A59GAY9C-00
Chipsets: INTEL PCIset SB82437VX and INTEL PCIset SB82371SB.
Ser no. on motherboard: SM-5281VX

Can anybody please help!?

I have come across a motherboard which is according to the manual manufactured by Sync Micro. I can't find any information about this board on the Web so I suppose it is a clone.

Please post all markings - maybe they belong to a model number
Maybe there's a sticker on the last ISA slot

No use, been hunting for Sync Micro boards before. Not a single shred of info out there.

Settings are now 1.5x 66MHz and should be 2.5x 60MHz with a bit of luck these are written on the board somewhere.

I thank you guys a lot for the info. I wish that we could resolve the problem. Unfortunately I've got nothing else as some sort of clue what we can do with that board.

From the fact that you guys (and me!) assumed it to be a Sync Micro board, and we all know that if you talk about SM it just may happen that you end up with a copy or a clone. Question: Isn't it just possible that there was some sort of original creator of these kind of boards, who just maybe have the original settings or manual?

Thanks for the advise, AJ and rainbow. I think the dcam will do the thing. I got your message through mail as well - thanks. I just try to get hold of the friend of mine who borrowed my cam. He's unfortunately at the funeral of his mom and will be back soon (tomorrow). I'll then have it posted to you.

What about the full Bios-ID ??

Bios Agent should have given you a Bios Eval message - please post this !

I think that the two red jumpers near the clock generator chip (next to the ODIN clock) are used to set the frequency (usually 66MHz, 60MHz, maybe 75MHz and often something other like 50MHz). The two yellow jumpers have most probably something to do with voltage. The other two red jumpers near the CPU socket should be multiplier select jumpers.
