The only BIOSes at the MSI Taiwan site are AMI, not Award. This suggests you have an OEM version of the board. We need the OEM message (which would include something like "W6140MS" if it had been sold by MSI with an Award BIOS). Is yours Packard Bell, or Fujitsu-Siemens, or Maxdata ?
[edit]
A search for MS-6140 brings up a BIOS for a Vobis OEM version, see http://www.vobispesaro.it/Driver.htmwhich is:
VMP 1.0B4d * MSI MS-6140
03/31/1999-i440EX-W977-2A69JM49C-00
and the notes say:

BIOS Award Rev. VMP 1.0b4d 31.03.99 PnP V1.0A
Mainboard MSI MS-6140 (24 47 75)
[/edit]
For reference, a Google search for the code i440EX-W977-2A69JM49C also brings up BIOS message W6132F1, Unitech OEM version of MSI MS-6132

The OEM is definitely Vobis, your board is mentioned at http://www.vobispesaro.it/ANNO2000VOBIS.htm. My best guess would be to try the MSI-6140 BIOS http://www.vobispesaro.it/ftp/bios/4775_b4d.exe I mentioned above.
Tested patched BIOSes. Untested patched BIOSes.
