Hi,

My Western Digital 40GB HD isn't recognized, can you help me? I don't know much about the BIOS or the motherboard, but it's a Packard Bell motherboard, with bios 00.1.27.

Packard Bell Support gives me the idea that the motherboard is is a "FR520 Miami"-model.

Well, I hope you can get all the info you need out of this picture:

Thanks in advance,

This the one?

BIOS 1.29

This BIOS offers support for bigger harddrives (up to 35 GB). Also some minor other issues are solved.
Flash your BIOS at your own risk.

Yes, I've seen this update, but as the topictitle suggests, we are talking about a 40 GB harddrive :)

Try it. If it doesn't work, look into an add-on EIDE controller card.
