Hi folks,

like many others I have a problem with the 64GB-Bug that stops the machine at the table with the drive listing etc.

I just flashed my BIOS with the latest available version and now the new harddisk at least is recognized. Here are some technical details:

Board: MSI MS 6154 (Sold under the pseudo name MD9901)
BIOS: Award Modular 4.51PG
Vers.: W6190ZXM7 V 1.8B4 052400
PIII-MMX 600

The original BIOS Image is available from this http://download.medion.de/medion.de/tre ... &name=Bios

If anybody could help me with this I was very delighted.
Thx in advance to all of you.

Interesting...did you find 6154 on the motherboard ? and the BIOS string says 6190 ?
I'll take a look at the BIOS...

Hi Nick,

thanks for your immediate response and giving me the download address. There's just a little problem left, obviously I'm too stupid...

Where can I get the tool awd64gb.exe? Or can I use another one as well?

BTW: The number 6154 I found somewhere on this site... within the long list of available patches. After I entered my long code number W977-... I found out who is the manufacturer of my board... I never knew that before.

Thanks again... I hope you're online yet and I get your answer soon.

Hi Nick,

meanwhile and unpatiently I applied your patch using uniflash 1.32 - without any success. The system still stops at the configuration table. I'm sorry that I can't tell better. Maybe, you have another idea yet..??

Anyway, thanks for spending your time :)

I tried it again with the awd812-tool from Award. Now it works fine and I suggest you move your patch to the tested ones.

Thanks so much, man. You saved my life :))))

Best regards from
Andy

I remember having problems with the FTP at host.sk for a couple of consecutive days, and completely forgot about it afterwards.
Anyway, if you've already done so, NickS, then I won't worry about it anymore.
