Hi all

I have just purchased a new maxtor diamondmax plus 40gb hard drive for my pc but my bios wont recognise it.

Is there a BIOS upgrade available to fix this?

BIOS Type:- Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
BIOS id is :- 05/06/98-i440LX-ALi5135-2A69JA1CC-AK
OEM sign on:- GREEN AGP/PCI/ISA SYSTEM
Chipset:- Intel 440EX/LX rev 3

I have a Pentium P2 333MHz processor.

It is an Abit motherboard but I am having difficulty identifying further as the label is faded and not accessable.

I have checked the Abit website but it doesn't help unless the label can be read.

Can anyone help please??

Thanks, the PCB does have AB AH6 printed on it but on the Abit website download page there is no motherboard of that type mentioned.

Any suggestions on which dowmload should be used??

Thanks

Looks like the latest is likely to be ah6kq.exe

GREEN AGP/PCI/ISA SYSTEM
This still has the HDD bugs but is patchable - I will send you a patched version.
