this is the id code that amibios id prog gave me. I cannot get a code from the boot screen. The manual says M920 series, V1.3 VT8753/November 2001.

The board has a celeron 1.7 in it. I think its a 423 socket???
I need to upgrade the bios I think it is corrupt. The mb wont take an operating system and Ive checked everything else

That's a PC-Chips M920. If the BIOS is corrupt it will not boot; it will stop with an error message, as the first thing it does when it starts to boot is carry out an integrity check on the BIOS.

Thanks for the info i think im on he right track now . I thought it was an ecs mb. Ive spent several hours trying to figure out which model in the 920 line my mb is and cannot figure it out. Ive tried the search utilities and come up with nothing.

Is there a message just below the AMI symbol on the memory count screen ? That may help to identify the model.
