Hi,

I ran inspector prior to updating to the latest (1AA4) version available, and this is what it found:

OEM Sign-On: KE-1A2 (now is KE-1AA4)
Chipset: Intel 440EX/LX rev 3
Superio: Winbond 977TF rev 0 found at port 3F0h
CPU Type: Pentium II
CPU Speed: 266 Mhz
CPU Max: 333 Mhz
BIOS ROM In Socket: Yes
BIOS ROM Size: 128K
Memory Installed: 192 MB
Memory Maximum: 128 MB

Neither the 1A2 or the 1AA4 detect the hard disk (Seagate barracuda 120GB 2Mb cache version).

Muchas Gracias! :)

I'm installing W2K right now. Only two minor glitches by now: I had to completely clear the BIOS in order to recognise the hard disk. Also when I enter general setup (1st award bios setup option) where you set which hard disks are detected, set time & date, halt on errors, etc it hangs indefinitely at the first disk. Unplugging it makes no difference. This is a minor problem, but it prevents one from define which halt on errors should be used... or entering the date.

I finally flashed this last BIOS, w/ no lockup in "General Setup". I didn't had the chance of re-installing W2K (why should BTW?) as the owner needed the computer ASAP.

He hasn't complained about anything, so I assume everything is fine :)

Thanks!
