No bios upgrade was ever released for this board. Best solution is to buy an ATA100/ATA133 controller card. You can still use that when you replace the board later on (investment). Even the eSupport bios does not 160GB.

Even the E-Support Bios will support only up to 137GB - as Edwin says get an Add-In controller card

Even the latest Bios Asus supports won't give you support for bigger HDD

You don't mention which BIOS release you have.

The latest BIOS at ASUS' Taiwan site is 1.002 (16.02.2000)
ftp://ftp.asus.com.tw/pub/ASUS/mb/slota/k7m-rm/

The latest at the German FTP is 6 months newer (02.08.2000)
ftp://ftp.asuscom.de/pub/ASUSCOM/BIOS/S ... 51/K7M-RM/

...might solve your problem...

More than likely it will have a 137,6GB barrier. To solve that problem you need a new core bios, it's higly unlikely they developed one for a board that old.

As I said - limited to 128GB

The latest Bios fixes some incompatibility problems with UDMA100 HDD and might add support for T-Bird Slot-A Athlons
