BIOS Date: 11/24/99
BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
BIOS ID: 11/24/1999-i440BX-W977EF-2A69KQ19C
OEM Sign-On: P6I440BX BrillianX-1S BIOS V2.1SLR Nov.24,1999
Chipset: Intel 440BX/ZX rev 3
Superio: Unknown
OS: Win2000
CPU: Pentium III 450 Mhz MAX: 550 Mhz

After a bios update autodetect in bios hangs; instead detection during boot works fine, but my pc hangs when display HDD info (LBA, DMA 2,<hang>) into DOS windows before OS boot.
HD is a "maxtor diamondmax plus 9" 80GB ATA/133 HDD

I downloaded BIOS v2.2e from qdi site, but seems to be a beta (or somithing similar).

thanks, Luca Basso Ricci.

Use B22E. Trust me... I've had 2 of those motherboards and that BIOS update is just wonderful.

It works fine; but now win98's fdisk detects a 12gig partition instead a 80gig.

thanks a lot,Luca Basso Ricci.

That's an FDISK problem. Don't worry later on. It'll format the full 80GB.
Microsoft's site offers an update to this problem. Read it thoroughly.
