Well, I either farkled big time or the power supply is dead. I had removed the battery on a Tyan Trinity 400 board to clear CMOS. unfortunately, when I returned 2 hrs later I forgot to reinsert the battery before powering up. Now, even the fans don't run on the cpu or the powewr supply. have I damaged the Mboard or should I scrounge another power supply? Any help apreciated!

Not inserting the battery back when powering up has nothing to do with that powerless PC of yours. In fact, any PC can boot up without CMOS battery, except that you won't be able to save your custom BIOS settings.

Looks to me that it's a Power Supply problem since the fans are not coming on.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, :D

Just a coincidence it appears. This may well explain the eratic behavior in the first place.
