Hello all.
I was given a box of MoBo's by a friend doing a cleanup & have got all
but one board fired up.
Most were missing chips & 2 had burnt power transistors , one board in
particular was a task finding any reference to it at all..
It's a socket 370 - 443lx chipset micro at/atx , has a sticker on the board
that says 7Bla & on the rear of the board printed within the boards copper
circuitry says 7BLA-Rev A2.
In using googles newest search engine I found a reference that says the
board was made by Superpower computers.
I found a bios string that the board was meant to display & found that the
bios file was referred to as 7bla.zip.
My problem is finding it , all pages lead to japanese sights that when
opened switch to other pages as if they're all non valid links.

This is a pic of what the board looks like.

& this is what iv'e found out about this board so far.
BIOS Date: 02/11/99
BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
BIOS ID: 02/11/1999-i440LX-IT8693-2A69JSMNC-00
BIOS Eval: 7BL VER:A.2
Chipset: Intel 440EX/LX rev 3
& this is Googles newest search engine I use to find bios files etc etc.

I have a large collection of used chips so i'll just burn the bin file to a
spare winbond 28c020 chip to start with.
I have a willem eeprom burner to burn my chips with..

Thanks to any that help..

Great thanks, I just PM'd you my email address..
I'd also like to ask about a bios file posted on your websight for an
MS6161 board , I noticed you patched version 1.2 to accept a larger
hard-drive capacity.
Is there a reason for patching version 1.2 & not the latest release for this
MoBo which was 1.3.
I have W661MS13.bin , if youd like it i'll email that to you to patch..
It's bios date is 19th/sep/1999 , 8 months later than the W661MS12.bin.

Well . whenever you posted you had 3 links within the post & one of the
links was to the beta bios page, on that page you had a download to the
Microstar MS6161 version 1.2 bios that you fixed to detect larger hard-
drives & run the drive at dma mode 5 instead of 2, heres the download
link HERE
Now I noticed you patched version 1.2 but I have 1.3 which is dated 8
months later according to the post date,, did you want me to sent it to
you or not..
& thanks for the 7Bla bios..

Kuriaki , I just sent W661MS13.bin to you, cheers..!

I think the question really is where did you get the ver 1.3 MS6161 BIOS from? I just looked under the downloads section of the Australian MSI web site and could only find latest ver 1.2.

Maybe a ver 1.3 was at one stage available from MSI and withdrawn by MSI because of a problem MSI was having with that BIOS release.

I buy computer components & sell complete systems.
Up until 2 years ago I was buying these boards cheap off someone I met
on ebay, 10 - 15 at a time.
I built a system one day that when posted I thought was odd as I was sure
when the post screen was up it usually showed an earlier date, I checked
& sure enough they were.
This version 1.3 it turned out was made for a particular manufacturer
using these boards in their systems, or so the fellow I bought the boards
from says..
The board version itself was still MS6161 V1.0 but had added power
saving features to the bios, & possibly other add-ons I dont understand..
So the 1st thing I did was pull the chip & saved the bin file with my
Willem programmer..
It seemed fit to call the .bin file as W661MS13.bin , it does say on posting
that it is revision 1.3 , & the earlier releases available on the MSI sight
were called W661MS11 & 12.bin
