only for notice.

i have the problem that the speedstep mod doesn`t work with my CPU.

i don´t know why.

It`s a PIII-650 CPU.

I`ve tried a lot but it sucks.

sharedoc has no idea too.

i don`t know what the difference is between mine and the others.

it has the id PMM65002001AA.

Has anyone had any luck with the speedstep mod on a p3 750? 600mhz just isnt cutting it.

Speedstep Mod For 600MHz MMC-2
Props to Sharedoc for this mod!
I have made SpeedStep mod and it has earned at once!!!

My results:

My results of PassMark benchmark you can see http : / / www.metacom.ru/~alexmorg/CPU/PassMark.rar
But power consumed by the processor was too big and achieved 30 watts!!!
That forced the processor to be heated almost up to 100 C!!!

All was necessary to me desoldering R5 to lower a voltage on the processor that has allowed to reduce power consumed by it a little.

I use PC Wizard 2004 for definition of characteristics of the processor and system as a whole.
Up to desoldering R5 the voltage on the processor was 1.8 volts, but also the ambassador desoldering it remained former, - 1.8 volts though power and temperature of the processor have appreciablly decreased!

Please, advise any program for exact definition of a voltage on the processor.

Or, prompt where it is possible to measure a voltage on the MMC-2 module or MotherBoard.

Thanks!

-Alex

congrats on your conquest. How stable is your rig with both the overclock nd a lowered v-core?

I have no problem with both mods!
System works fine and stable.

FSB mod also work great!

I'd like to lowered Vcore more, if it will work stable.

Can you upload somewhere benchies, I've selected above?

Maybe we will test ours TPs with this benchies and post results here for comparation?

Also, I want to make @mod_FAQ for some CPUs, which great work with FSB and SpeedStem mods.

Can anybody post here (or me directly) photos moded CPUs?

Thanks!

I have some problems with my USB1 port.
In TP selftest it shown as non workin, but WinXP shows, that USB controller work fine.
Maybe this not hardware problem?
Can I fix it through BIOS?
Also, I've similiar problem with IrDa port.

What can you say about it?

Big thanks!

Dr Morg,

You can measure Vcore over C14 (where you soldered the 2.2k resistor). You don't need keyboard when measuring Vcore.

Is USB and Irda problem related to 108 MHZ fsb or SpeedStep mod? Did you have problems with them before mods?

I have problems before mods apply.

Can you say anything about it?

Thanks!

They're just part of Sisoft Sandra. It's free to download.
