i have a 815ep m/b with a bios string as bellow:
09/07/2001-i815-w83627hf-6a69rtrdc-00
it cannot support hd larger than 128G;
and i have another 815ep m/b "QDI S2EP" WITH a bios string as bellow:
12/08/2004-i815-W83627HF-6a69rq1gc-00.
it do can support hd larger than 128G.
as they use the same chips & i/o;
i wanna know if i can use the second bios on the first board.
pls tell me, thx!

It's highly risky to do that - it's possible to damage hardware because the Bios has to access CPU voltage and other important stuff. It's also possible AGP or PCI cards are not working properly.
Why don't you live with 120GB as max or use W2K/XP/Linux to access space above 128GB (in case you use bigger HDD)

Using BIOS for another board is not possible with newer boards. Not only chipset and super i/o but also clock generator must be the same. And there are also some special chips on some boards which cause more problems.
